I,m begining to think this engine is part of the official secrets act, anyway my problem has gone, it was missfiring on one cylinder on start up, now its fine.

hi Eric,
I was not keen to answer in case anybody had a better answer( and pics),
generally on top of the cylinder head - on my 105 JTD they were well hidden and a real pain to change,
hence the need for a good description and pics,
Charlie
Ello Charlie,
Thanks for reply, ive looked on top mate thought that would be the obvious place but all that seems to be there are the injectors, there are other bolts but without wires, will have to get a mirror and check down sides of engine, when i find them i will post.
I saw this on the web. Don't know if its related to why you are looking for the glow plugs but hope it helps.
"The glow plug warning message on 2.3 engined X250 vans does not normally indicate a problem with the glow plugs!
There is a very common fault with chaffed wires in the loom under the nearside headlamp. This causes an undesirable earth which the computer assumes is a faulty glow plug. It will take an hour or so for a competent auto electrician to find and repair".
Thanks Ray, i,m not getting any warnings, it was just a little bit of a missfire on start up when cold, but its seems to be O,K at the moment, I will bare that info in mind if i get anymore problems.
