wow well its all over now! £1000 bill and he didnt even replace my break light! so much for the sympathetic help from fellow fiat owners, jeez some of your over all comments were verylike my mother would say ehhmmm i told you so1 yer just a girl!, anyway iv learned many many lessons, and even if iv paid double the price and in the experience iv gained has been worth the extra cash spent, after all folks money comes and goes experience lasts a life time, i do wish to take the time to thank all involved with making points on the legal aspects, as i had no clue what my rights were or are in these matters, and happy motoring xdx

I guess we were just trying to save you money Della. Fact is if you had followed advice given ( which you asked for) you would have enough left to have a holiday for a week or so in the Med area.

Your Mum sounds great by the way, can you give her my regards and sympathies?

Please take the peoples advice this time if you ask for help it will be given. Joe hoy based on Hogg street in Airdrie is a top mechanic and totally honest (brutally so at times) but he will not con you in any way.Have been taking various cars there for 18 yrs.

The garage towed her away on wednesday, i called the garage to ask if they had cracked her open and had an estimate, te said my engine was in bits, i didnt know i could request they put her back tohettehr again, or that i had the right to remove her from the garage, i was on ere trying to get help to figure it out, when ever i was in contact with the garage i felt intimatdated,and now on this site i feel riduculed for my honesty, still i have pritty little rainbows everywhere i go,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,could be worse i supose, i have my health!

Some people could take offence at the "you lot" .

As part of the "lot" that offered advice, I have 40 years experience working on cars , have stripped and rebuild engines and have extensive knowledge of automotive problems and of the motor trade.

Your description of what was happening to your car brought to mind several instances of similar garage behaviour that my friends and I have experienced over the years.
That led me to conclude that the best thing for you financially was to get the car back.....

There were others saying the same thing which must surely have given enough confidence in our advice to take action?

As for this thread, it almost seems like you keep coming back to taunt or disrespect us and I am surprised that you are still being offered advice and one person still offering to use his own fuel and time to drive to your place and assess your car.

What it shows, is that there is a lot of goodwill amongst forum members who are spending their personal time offering advice to people while asking for nothing back in return.

Thats the community spirit on the forum of which you are now a member.
While I am just another member like yourself , its seems reasonable to ask you
to show a little respect to people.

I will leave that to the moderators however and while I will not be offering you any further advice, I wish you well with your car problems.
