After doing various things to the punto i've realised that the bolts both inside and outside the car are pretty crap quality, anybody managed to get new bolts from somewhere that are better and new?
the interior ones just round, just put the back seats back in and had to be very careful. the ones underneath the car are not bad but would like really good quality ones just to have peace of mind
Never had a problem, taken seats out of GP's hundreds of times. Do you lubricate the bolt with oil for easy removal next time & use correct torx/allen sockets?
Some of those larger interior bolts are 16 and 18mm, not 17 and 19mm as is perhaps more common in general. Using the later will work, but will cause the rounding issues.
I have replaced a few of the bolts with stainless when I have found some rounded/ corroded bolts. Not a massive issue but a bit of copper slip can go a long way.

When the bolts are holding a plastic holder for the battery the different tensile strengths don't make a blind bit of differance. The same applys to changing the two 4mm counter sunk torqes pins that hold the disks in place with 4mm counter sunk Alan headed stainless pins.
