General gearbox upgrade? 5speed to 6speed

Hey guys, I want to revive this post
I have GP 2007 with 1.3 jtd and was also thinking to make a swap from 5 speed to 6 speed gearbox. I cruise a lot on motorways, and if i'm doing like 110 km/h it's already over 2,5k rpm. and the fuel economy isn't so good. So does the 6sp. gearbox bolt on straight? and from with model should i put it ?

The gear ratios low down are different but not high end

I believe gear 6 in the 6 speed is same as gear 5 in the 5 speed

Also diesels use different gear boxes so most likely not an easy swap, do they do a 1.3multi 6 speed and are they easy to come by?

Bearing in mind there little engines

If you were much lower in rpm, ud probably have your foot down more to maintain your speed

At points tbh you actually only need very little throttle, even though engine seems to at higher rpm

The problem is that in Denmark motorways are limited to 110kmh but whe I go to other countries there is 130kmh and on that kind of speed car already shows 7L/100km that's why I thout about it but thanks for a good reply
