Technical Gearbox swap

Hi all,
has anyone swapped out a 5 speed manual for a later version 6 speed on a 1.9JTD Multivalve engine? I have a 2007 Doblo van and its a little short geared on the motorways with the engine running at about 2750RPM to cruise at 70mph. Has anyone swapped before?

Hi, mine is an 8V version, and i considered to swap the gearbox before. Since the 5gear box is told to be a lot more solid than the 6gear one i take the back seat with about 170 km/h top speed. Does it make more sense to swap the gearbox in the UK than in Germany?
In order to reduce the rotations you might just switch up earlier.

What i don't know is whether the UK gear boxes are shorter in general. In this case i recommend a German 5gearbox for an 120HP item.
