Styling Gear Gaitor [mk1]

i got this gaitor from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7937016313&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT , fitted it but its short, theres like a 3 cm gap from the nob and also its more when im in say 3rd or 4th gear. does any one have a link to a gaitor that will be long enough for it? thanks

If your car DOESN'T have the lift-for-reverse gear lever, you could just cut your lever down to suit. This would also give you a heavier, but shorter, gear lever travel. If you do have to lift the gearknob to get reverse then you're stuffed - sorry.

its not lift reverse, u sure its ok to cut it down?

This says its for a punto but I would probably email and check first. They do black, blue and red.

Now that I think about it......

It depends on how the knob attaches to the top, if it screws on then don't cut it.
If it's just a push fit on the top and if there are no cables or anything going up the middle of the gearstick then it should be fine to cut it down a bit.
