mod it into a 7 seater :p
seriously tho, its obvious it means alot to you, there must be some way of keeping it. Don't make the same mistake I did, by getting rid of a fab car.

I'm sure you could find a baby seat of the correct width to fit 3-abreast in the back if you did some research....

how about a straight swap for Rat MK1? ;) 13 months mot!!

serious though sorry to see that you have to sell it :( kids dont go in my weekend so IF we have any more the new bravo will have to go!!

i dont think that asking for 1450 is too much, 02 plate, full leather, low milage, full history, sound like a bargin to me...

one thing i would do though is chnge the steering wheel back to standard, it will put the family man off imo, this is the only neg i can give....

chin up

Rat is back on the road :)... New bits coming soon!

@ Carrol cant be done im afraid, teh seats cant be touching and they would be.

Tommy K 215 a year to tax

Stephen might be in the market for going cheaper if you fancy doing a deal with cash my way, i am gonna end up with a propa rat like 200 quids worth of car as the money has to go into one pot to get another people carrier (we only sold our new shape zafira 5 months ago DOH!!)

cheers

would love to, however after just spending more than i would have liked on the rat its got to stay for another 12 months at least to pay for its self...

Why must'nt baby seats be touching? I can't see why they would'nt still be effective at restraining, providing they are all belted-in properly - if it's only an M.o.T. thing, just take one of them out at test time.

Our quite ordinary Mothercare travel system baby seat,(for 0-17 months) is only 41cm at it's widest point, including the base unit. Even the big luxury padded M&P seat we have in the Daihatsu,(12-48 months) is only 44cm overall.

In any case, my Marea saloon's rear seat is 129cm wide, (133 cm between door armrests) and I've also seen babyseats by Cabriofix, BeSafe and Britax advertised as being only 38-39cm wide,
so it can be done.

What do you have in mind, Robin?

(I know I shouldn't be asking this, but it's sooooooooooooooo tempting)

@ carrol, i have been told that 3 wont fit and its against the law and unsafe (andy SX can back this up as that has happened to him), i have one child in a booster seat with bolsters and one child in a forward facing seat and the new baby will go in a mama & papa's travel system, you can seat My eldest in the middle but you need to remove the bolsters to make it legal. Also safety point of view if you have a light side impact with my eldest in the middle she will have some horrific injuries as there will be no bolsters protecting her and the 2 babies have a tuffend side impact bars in there seats.

I would rather be safer than sorry and if that means the rat has to go well it has to go.

@ Rob dunno mate, have a think about it and let me know we can swap the wheels over and the normal steering wheel can go back on even the air filter can be changed if you fancy it, but i just need cash to put to the bigger car i would rather sell it but if i get a good offer cash my way and a part ex i can do it that way if you fancy it let me know drop me a text.

cheers

robin
