Anyone know of any garages near me where i can get my punto lowered? My local garages want £180 to fit them, but wondered if anyone had any recommendations of places that are cheaper. I've been told around £60 is a good price. Regards

Matthew

Oh right, where abouts was that then mate? I may have to try and do it myself if i can't find a garage cheap enough to do it. May have to consider trying it myself then, may enquire about getting the equipment from a mate of mine. I need to get this sorted asap while i still have the money to afford them!

that quote was for my cento at top gear in basingstoke! got the number somewhere, can only b assed to search if u want it!

can b a right pain in the ass to do yourself tho, and if things go slightly pete tong with the compressors, not as if u can leave it and drive away!!!

when i change the shocks on mine i am gonna do the rears myself, then prob pay to have the fronts changed as i cant b assed with the compressors anymore lol

Don't worry then, i'll look them up and give them a call. If the rears don't need the compressors i'm guessing they're much easier to fit? But if i changed the backs wouldn't it be dangerous to drive the car if its only lowered on the back? I guess i could get the fronts done first and then do the backs myself afterwards.

I managed to do the front and back on my own... It wasn't that hard to do, and I hadn't really had any experience with anything like that before... As long as you follow the instructions yuo should be fine. Spring compressors are a bit annoying, but if you are patient then all should go well.

i got mine fitted for £50 :D

at a F1 garage if you have them near you?

but best if you shop about i went to a F1 garage up the road
and they wanted £160 :O...

nah mate i'll take £50 down the road lol

if that is any help :D

Yeah that helps too. Gonna give Top Gear in Basingstoke a call tomorrow, and i think there is a F1 garage in Fratton, so i'll look them up too! Still undecided whether to risk doing it myself at the mo.
