General Gap below boot rubber?

Hi all-just noticed in my daughters 57 plate grande punto there is a gap all the way along the top of the rear bumper(in the boot)-below where the rubber seal goes round-normal?-thanks

My daughter's had this - and the tailgate rattled over bumps. You need to adjust the striker. It's the U-shaped bit of metal bolted to the back of the car, which the tailgate catch latches on to. Slacken the bolts and slide it in towards the front of the car a bit, then re-tighten the bolts. Takes a few goes to get it right.

Its the rubber as it runs a long the top of the rear bumper(in the boot)-there is a gap-the two are not sealed/joined-normal?

There should be no gap anyway.
