Technical Boot light remains on

This is weird. I unlock the boot and the light doesn't come on as it should. I unlock the CAR and the boot light comes on and doesn't switch off for ages! draining the battery. Anyone any ideas how to fix this?

Nothing at all shows up here. I'll try fiddle around with catch and see if anything changes.

No it stays on. It somehow goes off itself maybe 30 mins later.

The bulb should be low power and so not draw enough power to drain battery in half an hour.
If you are concerned about boot light draining battery you could remove the bulb.
