Hi guys,

Been scratching my head for a little while on this one. I've recently put a new wiring loom in the car so not sure if this was a problem previously or not before the re-wire. Whenever I turn the key clockwise giving power to the starter it blows the 8A fuse in position number 2 in the fuse box.

So far i've disconnected everything the Haynes manual says is protected by fuse 2, but still the same result when replacing the fuse and trying again. So does anyone have any ideas on this? One thing i'm yet to check is the condition of the positive lead as it passes through the car to make sure its sheathing isn't damaged and touching any of the metal bodywork. But other than that i'm not sure where else to look.

Also to note, turning the key anti clockwise doesn't cause the issue, it's only when it's turned clockwise to give the starter power.

This was a stupid problem that was just a pretty simple wiring issue.. Doh!
