I put benzin in my 07 JTD and need to remove the tank. :bang:

Is it hard and whats the producer?

Thanks for any help i get.

How would i do it?

Apparently on new cars theres made some kind of anti-theft lock so you cant just put a hose down the fuel line and suck it out, i tried :(

if you got ideas then i'm open for suggestions.

Under the rear seat, remove the fuel gauge unit and pop a tube in there.
If car is at home, and you can leave it a couple of days, the benzine will rise to the top and sit on any diesel. Then you can just syphon off the benzine.

Or remove the lot, then leave it in a container for a few days and it will separate out and you can recover any diesel.

Hi

I had the fuel tank out of my 2005 1.2 (petrol) some months ago.

It was pretty straightforward. Remove the 4 bolts holding the tank steel straps and remove any connection fuel lines and wires. Remove right rear wheel for better access. I managed to push it the exhaust out of the way, but I believe Haynes told me to remove it...

I had to loosen/disengage a handful of fuel lines going to some canister thingy in the rear right wheel compartment, but that is gauranteed to be different on a diesel.

Good luck... ;)
