Technical Fuel pump push rod length

I have taken off my fuel pump in my long running task of sorting out my engine. I've found that the full stroke of the push rod is 1.5mm. I believe it should be 2.4mm. Is that for a 499cc engine not a 594?

The crud on the plunger could be stopping it returning fully, don't know about the Fiat
but early VW's had a similar set up and you could just pull the plunger out and clean it,
you then got the full stroke and all was well.

Panic over. I took the pump off again, and the spacer, which let me get the ruler in straight. I'm content that the stroke is good.

I've also tested the old pump by blocking off each pipe with a finger and pumping the input rocker. The old pump is good.
