Hi guys ( and girls)
My 14 year old son has just finished installing a replacement engine in his big sister's Punto. He has done a great job and has one task left to complete. The fuel pipe needs to be connected to the inlet manifold. On the old inlet manifold there is a bayonet type fitting that acts as a kind of socket... into which the fuel pipe slots. However, neither of us can quite figure out how the bayonet fitting can be disconnected and removed from the old inlet manifold, and refitted to the new one. Obviously we don't want to force the damn thing apart... damaging it in the process. Does anyone have experience of this?
I apologise for my first post being a request for help... but I will make up for it later, honest!
If you require pictures, let me know and I will post them up straight away!
