I just bought my first fiat barchetta 1997. the fuel level gauge and warning light was on when I picked up my car from the dealer last night so I went straight to the gas station and fueled up the car full. the fuel level gauge and reserve warning light still stayed on, telling me I'm empty how do I fix this problem.:bang:

Check the fuel level sensor in the pump. It's not that difficult, you'll have to remove the trim behind the seats, then the sheet metal plate and then you'll gain access to the pump. It may be just the connector.
It's part 81 in the diagram.
