Technical Fuel indicator!!!

...my fuel indicator on my tipo is nuts, the whole car is nuts, indicator goes from left to the right in a second, especially when i hit some bumps and holes on the road!!! So how can i change the "thing" that is taking care of the status in my tank???
...please help!!!
... Tipo 1.6 i.e. sx 1994y. 3 doors!!!!!!!!

Sure you aren't looking at the Fuel Efficiecny Gauge?

sounds like u have either a loose connection or your gauge in the tank is knackered.

Mines the same never gives a true reading (low fuel light comes on at Quarter tank?) so now i just fill it up do a few hundred miles and top it up again

No i'm looking at the right indicator, and my shows at the quarter of the tank too!!! NOt Good!!
Another question:Sometimes when i go down hill or when i'm stoping on red light when i'm slowing down, and i shift him in idle, the car knows to shutdown on me, and it won't start on first or second time!!! Only third or fourth, but before that it sttuters first and the injection light comes on and off!!! So is this the problem with my injection or is this the problem with my o2 sensor, because it consumps about 14l on 100km!!!!! I suspect my o2 sensor because last month when i was at my mechanic the ecu reader said that there was a o2 sensor fault, then a week later it said no fault codes!!! Haha!! I think its due to weather!!! When it's cold my car is nuts but when it's above 5 degrees it works fine!!! So i have a summer car!!! :slayer: !!!!! Haha!! Ok! Can someone explain?? Thanks!!!!

Hello!

Check your groundcable at the front - it conects the batterie (negative) with the body and the gear. At the body, the cable oxidates very often and this causes many electrical problems.

Don't all Fiats lights come on at a quarter tank? My uno does it too.

My one comes on at quater for a few seconds then goes out and stays out till it gets to about half quater, then it flashes and stays on then goes out and when its on empty it flashes then stays on and flashes then stays on. If it does not go out when I go round corners or brake hard or accelerate hard then I know I need some petrol sharpish.
