Froth, around battery terminals

Hello all,
after giving someone a jump start last night i noticed a white/grey froth around the battery terminals. Is this being created becasue im running the power amp off it?
The power amp claims to be 4x 300 watts and the dude at the place i bought it said it was a beefy thing.

No, thats just normal battery fluff.

clean it off by mixing bicarbonate soda with water, equal miture.
dab an old rag in the miture, then rub corrosion off.

to stop it coming back, put plenty of petroleum jelly on the terminals and connectors.

I've been using Vaseline on battery terminals since I were a lad, and have never had any problems or corrosion on about 30-40 cars. Also, the fitters at work use it on the lorry batteries!

Coppaslip is the same stuff just with copper bits in it. There is nowt wrong with using vaseline, just don't totally goop it on I've seen batteries where you have to dig the terminals out of huge blobs of the stuff.

Yeah the amp is alledgedly 300 wrms per channel not pmpo!
Only using 2 channels brindged for the sub!
Will clean the battery and lube up its nipples!
