Front wipers timed response???

hi when it rains mildly

if i put the turn twice then it goes at goo speed
and a faster response when the handle is turned three times

however when i turn the wiper handle clockwise just once it does one wipe then seems to be a long delay until the second...

anyone notice thhis..

First notch is an intermittent wipe, the second and third are continuous but at different speeds. Has been the same on all Fiats I've driven, and the Alfa.

Marea stalks have an adjustable intermitant setting which is rather handy

so does my skoda. its great.
beats my very first car, which didn't have intermittent!

and Kev, its intermittent, and a feature on most modern cars. its ideal when you are driving on wet roads and its not raining. ie the spray from other cars slowly builds up.
