General front windscreen

Does anyone no what that nobbly bit in the middle of the dash close to the front do? I thought it might be central locking sensor but not sure bugged me of what it is ever since owning the car lol

Climate control sun sensor. On cars without climate control its just a blank without a sensor inside.

Ah so in theory then if I was to put material on me dash I could remove it and have the lines all straght cause mine doesnt have it and it looks kinda ugly

Pull the cap off and see if whatever is under it sits flush or below the dash

I use mine as a driving aid, sometimes.

Using eyesight to line it up with the kerb, keeps me nicely placed in the centre of the road.

So it has some use on my GP.

IIRC it's not flush below.....

the rake said its not flush underneath the nobbly bit theres gonna be something under that bit if it doesnt sit flush if it gets removed

I remember there being something when I'd look before, out of curiosity.

So just took another look.

With the cover removed....



It's what looks like could be the sensor housing...?

Though I just gave that a yank and it came out incredibly easily, had no wiring behind it.
Don't see any reason Fiat would have put it in tbh...

Just pulled my top of and I've got like a green connector looking thing under it :/

Yeah just yank it out...., its clipped at the front and back but not very strongly,...
