If anyone is looking for a really good front splitter for the later model Seicento Sporting then they might want to take a look at the one for a Seat Leon Cupra R. (If this idea has been made before, sorry it's because I'm new to this forum).
Anyway, I've just fitted one to my Schumacher and it looks ace!:D .
There are some for sale on ebay but DON'T buy from there (n) because it will end up costing more than the Seat main dealer price for a brand new one as they are only £20.72 inc. VAT, which, considering how much some people sell the usual Renault Laguna splitters for, is a bit of a bargain and the Seat one is FAR better as it is shaped very similarly to the bumper profile and almost looks like a factory fit if you're careful and do a good job fitting it.
The part number is 1 ML 805 903.
You will have to cut out about 4 inches from the middle as the Leon is a wider car, but other than that, it's just a simple 'self tapper' screw job to the underside of the bumper.
I will be posting some pics of my car in my user profile at the weekend, so you will be able to see how it looks.
Hope this maybe gives some of you an idea as I was searching for ages trying to find a splitter I liked at a decent price.
Cheers (y)

Hi there,

Thanks! :)
Yes, I will try and do that, but if anyone can't wait then there is a fitting guide at www.leoncupra.co.uk under the 'guides' menu (this is where I went for fitting advice). Okay it's obviously for a Leon, but you can the general idea and see what it looks like.
Cheers! (y)

Ibiza splitter has been done before on a sei but dont think the Cupra has.

Brilliant tip though, some pics would finish an excellent opening thread off :)

After you have cut it in half, you need to then cut about 50 - 60 ml from the end of each piece, save one of these to use as a centre cap to glue or silicone in the middle to cover the join - it finishes it off a treat.

To better explain what I meant in my last post about the centre part (and to give you an idea of what it looks like), I've just been out to the garage to take a photo which is in my gallery page if you want to go and take a look.
I'm hoping to update my gallery with pictures all of the car at the weekend but I'm 'between' cameras at the minute and might not have a new one by the weekend.

Cudve just pasted the IMG code into your above rather than send people to the gallery, but as your are new we'll let you off :p

(y) wow looking nice so far want to see it when its zoomed out a bit but i will wait till the week end lol :p

are you leaving it black or painting it?

Thanks for the comments guys. (y)
To answer the questions - I am leaving it black (for the time being anyway).
and, yes I do keep the car in the front room! Ha Ha :D , only joking! No, a few years ago I was working on a big refurbishment job and got hold of a massive piece of carpet which is now in the garage.

Hi all :D,
As promised I got the car out of the garage today to take some better pics of the Seat Leon Cupra R front spitter for those who wanted a more zoomed out shot. I also took a few other pics of the car whilst I was at it. They are in my gallery page if anyone wants to take a look.

Any questions about the splitter (fitting buying etc..) just PM me and I will be happy to help. (y)

Very nice splitter :)

The black transfer on the bonnet looks a bit wrong, looks lost on the red bonnet and like your hiding a multitude of scratches etc, would get rid of that

It's not a transfer, it's a magnetic vinyl strip that I only put on the car when I'm doing a long motorway run as I've always picked up stonechips on previous cars on the edge of the bonnet, and so far it has prevented a few nasty ones.
I just forgot to remove it before taking the photos. And for the record it's not hiding anything there is not a mark on this car anywhere.
Thanks for the comments (y)
