Hi Everyone, I have started restoring my 2001 seicento schumacher.

Well I actually started work back in May, where I cleaned up the brakes as they were stuck on due to sitting for the past 6 years. Back when my dad used this car he upgraded the brakes to larger punto brakes on the fronts and put the standard front discs on the rear with calipers off a punto which a believe are shared with a mito. The rear off side caliper was seized and a new one was next to nothing so that was bought and fitted.

And then I had my gcses over the summer and that brings us to now. The lacquer is peeling and the rear of the sills and into the arches need welding so its going to get a full respray. Before any welding could get done we needed to strip the car. So I spent one morning last week removing all the interior except the dash.

Then it was onto removing the mechanicals. Fuel tank out first which was surprisingly in great condition still apart from a bit of crap in the bottom. Engine and box came out next. Unfortunately I can't put the 1400 back in due to the insurance being ridiculous. However, I have bought a newman phase 1 cam for 1100 and then will be making up a custom exhaust and intake as well as mapping it myself.

Next the wings and bumpers came off both for when it gets resprayed and also for welding.
