General Front Impact (behind bumper)

Hi all. Would like some info regards the front impact bar, not the top slam panel. I have a 2006 diesel eleganza and need this to replace the one currently on the car. There is one advertised for a 1.6 petrol. What i would like to know is can the panel be fitted on either car. Thanks.
