It used to be that grim over hear for panel beaters but has got better over the last 10 years as not a lot of apprentices coming through the ranks and everyone leaving the trade! a lot of former workmates have left and moved on and wouldn't return because its basicly a dirty, intense, hard job and they want you to work a lot of overtime weekends etc. i'm currently out of work after leaving my last job to take the summer off (and what a summer that was fantastic) and currently living off work from friends and cash in hand at a friends bodyshop until i find the CREAM job! at probably one of the local maindealers, where there are prospects as one day would like to move off the spanners, and workshop control, estimate etc, as ive been rolling on the floor, beating for 20 years now but i still enjoy it!
