That looks like a really neat and tidy job ant. Well Done mate! (y) Loving the black mesh but not too sure about the abarth scorpion... Maybe when its on the car it might grow on me, or with a circle type abarth or fiat badge in the middle instead? Get it fitted to the car and take pics mate!!

 F R O $ T Y

Its growing on me everytime i look at it, when i bought it on ebay i didn't think it would be so big, and i can't find anywhere else for it to go, do i don't i ant! come on mk1's OPINION!!!!!!!

I'm with Frosty on the badge, a small one would suit it much more.
I've made mine up, just part way thru spraying it, soon as it is done i'll post pics.... i've got one in my profile of it without been sprayed, literally just after i had cut it all and sanded it down.
Cant wait to get it put on! cheers for the help on how to do it Ant!(y)

im well gutted i had finshed mine and stored it under car then went to use the car and all i heard wash this cracking . oops it broke , back to the drawing board.

Sorry I'm late in passing opinion. Been kind of busy starting my University course last week

I like the Abarth badge! Helps break up the open mouth look of the grill without the centre slats. Mesh looks good too, will be cool in matt black

Not normally a fan of the modded mk2 grill, but the badge makes yours stand above the others Ant (y)

looking good half way there!, a tip, reuse the bits of plastic (slats) that you removed to strenthen the grill and bond them behind the gaps, i used a 2 pac(hardener and resin) glue, wurth for plastics, a bit like araldite, can use fibreglass, if you just use just filler it will crack! and get your filler nice and level its all in the preparation good work! Ant!

Nah, not really my cup of tea. I still have the Original grill, i'm playing around with little bits but making sure that whatever i do can be put back to standard, at least visually anyway.
What's the saying, Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.... :p ;) haha only kidding!
let me know if you have any other big plans, i've already ordered some chrome spinners..... haha

I wasn't actually being sarcastic - when I first saw the photo, I actually thought it was chromed!

I have, actually, got another big plan for you. Since your car's red, you really need some matching green or blue neon lights from The Warehouse, only $24, to mount underneath.

And don't forget to remove your rear springs - easy to do, just unbolt the rear shocks and jack up the car - for that 'slammed' look. Or, you could just go and pick up some homie bros for a similar effect. :D

you sound as though you have been researching this quite thoroughly for me Alex.
It's greatly appreciated, however my Bro's in the hood have now moved on from Neons and spinners. The latest thing to have done is to put our rear number plates on at a slight angle, that been 23 degrees drivers side down. This creates a great effect on the modified scene down at the local mall car park with the 15 year old chav-ettes. I really would like to get into this brotherhood, if you have anymore handy hints and tips for me let me know.
Please note though that i would like this to look as neat and clean as your little white beasty.
please dont lead me down false roads with mods that you yourself are not considering... ;)
All the best
Clive (aka Brother C-Master-Live)

:p

LOL!!! :D

Seriously - you didn't expect me to be up-to-date with what's goin down in your hood, did you? :)

I really HAVE considered the neon lights... watch this space...

Umm, take some Scotchbrite pads to that nasty new red paint, it's far too shiny. In fact, get some matt black spraycans and go for a quick blowjob (the car I mean). Don't forget to find some suitable white or silver 'lady' stickers for the windows, which should be tinted beyond what the law allows, of course.

Apparently, Lynx rubbed into the dashboard with a towel brings up a nice shine. You can then smoke in your car and blast the windows out (this was discovered quite recently, by a teenager in Rotorua as I recall) - see http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/1/story.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10424667

I think the best solution would be to get a new girlfriend - some slutty chick who's 'into cars' - and see what she suggests. You can find them on online dating sites. I think I could do with some help myself in that respect! Maybe if I had a big 'Rota' things would be different ;)

Well DUH! That is truly unbelievably stupid! Must be a fairly rich 16 year old too having a recent Honda Prelude at that age. I guess it's true that money can't buy you intelligence...

BTW, I'm going to stick that link in the Leisure Lounge for everyone else to have a laugh. And to make sure no one else uses deodrant to polish their dashboards :nutter: :p
