Technical Found wire

Found this tied to the cross member ,on nearside,while changing the clutch. Appears to be one green wire. Any ideas.

Looks like the wire for the brake pad wear sensor. Very few cars still have it connected as it's not essential to the system & tends to get snagged/broken anyway.
