Technical Found in engine bay

Hi guys

I was changing the air filter today on my 500x 1.6 etorq mirror and I found a wire tucked behind a piece of tape near the back of the engine bay. I have no idea what it's for but it wasn't plugged in anywhere and I could see where it would be. I'm wondering if any of you lovely folks have a clue?

Can you put up a more zoomed out photo of where this is. I can't see it in our 1.4 500X.

I reckon that is wiring that is not used on your model as it looks like it has been fitted with a dummy connector and plugged where the wires would come out.
