Technical Engine management problems

My Fiat 500X diesel 2016 uk model has started giving me engine management faults. Such as the stop start isn't available, and more recently electronic handbrake does not release when driving off. If I turn the engine off and restart it, the handbrake releases. The car always drives perfectly well I bought an OBD2 scanner, but it doesnt show any fault codes. I suspect an earth fault on the ECU. Any other ideas guys. The faulty may disappear again tomorrow, without any interventions.

Hello,

A standard (cheap) OBD scanner will connect only to the engine module (ECU). FIAT (as other makes, too) uses a dedicated application, MultiEcuScan (or AlfaOBD) and requires a special interface to connect properly to all modules.

I'd try first finding someone who could properly diagnose the car.
