General Forgot to MOT our Stilo Multiwagon

Woke up this morning thinking to myself "the MOT is up about the same time as my birthday(6th April)" better check.

The MOT was up last week and I forgot.

Had to book it in this morning.

Its been remapped and has the EGR blanked off.

PASS!

No advisories.

i did this when i took mrs daves car to trax show 1 year, suddenly remembered half way there that we got the car on 1st September trax was about 6th September, so just drove to hotel and went home next day, was too paranoid to drive to the show incase there was anpr set up

I am sure it is safe to say this now as its long gone, but i once forgot to MOT my old MK2 punto for over 30 days I was dead sure it was end of July but it ended up being the end of June instead :idea:

Actually your not far wrong. Have spent most of my spare time servicing the missus's Alfa.

No.

Last years MOT the car had the EGR blanked off and a tuning box installed and it easily passed the emissions test, I posted the results on here, check it out.

This MOT the car still had the EGR blanked off, is now remapped and still easily passed the emissions test. Here's this years results.

Diesel MOT Smoke Test Results(Diesel emissions test)

Smoke Readings
Peak = 0.76m-1

Zero Drift = 0.01m-1 PASS (MAX - 0.1)

Average = 0.75m-1

MOT Test Result
Fast Pass = 0.75m-1 PASS (MAX - 1.5)


This years results are a little higher than last year but the remap does produce more power than the tuning box did.

Mine easily passed the emissions last year with remap, egr blank, full decat as well.

I removed and installed the file myself using a new MPPS cable I brought but the file was remapped by Nick Lawrence(http://tuneitup.vpweb.co.uk)

Nick tweeked it to how I wanted it and the car feels great now.

I plan to have him do the missus's Alfa 147 soon. Should be able to get a whopping 180bhp+ out of it.

Drove my current car for 6 months without an MoT. It was originally sold to the first owner with 6 months tax on it... Apparently... according to my MoT tester, it is quite common for that very reason. In all that time I was drove the car North as far as Preston, South as far as Reading, West as far as Barmouth & East as far as Peterborough... nothing from any ANPR... Nada... Zilch...

every year i forget to mot the 306 coz the tax is up july and the mot april. only remembered this year as thought it was the bravos mot i was looking at when i got them out last week
