Hey guys,

Need some feedback on the position of possible bonnet vents :)
I have just ordered a pair of Black Focus RS bonnet vents and am going to be putting them on my GP.

Using a dimention accurate paper cut out, I have placed/taken photos off two options where the vents can go (see pictures).

- The first position is inbetween the window washer jets. This option will allow, if you look under the bonnet space, cut outs and a functional vent.

- The second option is to flatten and stick on the vents to where looks best. This is probs the option i will go for as it looks best further appart.

PS. Do not copy my idea, I have already purchased the vents and I AM doing this either way. Just looking for feedback! :)

Don't copy your idea? Pretty sure i've seen it on a GP before and it's been done to other cars other than the RS but anyway, the only place they will look good is option 2 on picture 2 imo as they would be on the RS. Don't think the GP is aggressive enough to pull them off though, unless it's running big power lol that's my opinion anyway (y)

Im a designer, so i take pride in my projects, didnt mean to offend, just l;ike to be unique lol.

Okay thanks a lot! I appreciate your thoughts :)

I really dont feel that a rolleyes from Cadabena is being sarky mate. At the end of the day you came onto the forum and asked for views on something and in the same post demanded that no one copies you. This has already been done.

By all means be unique mate but dont have a go at people giving their views on a forum when you have asked for them.

Pic 2 would look the best IMO I am just not sure it goes with the lines, curves and look of the GP agree with MISC1691 but best of luck to you. :)

No problem mate :D do not go for a K&N induction kit mate go for a GSR if you can get your hands on one mate or go for the K&N or BMC panel filter.

Stephen

Only joking! Each to their own and all that, it's entirely your car. I would never do it, but if you want a suggestion... I'd say a combination of the two if possible, further back and apart, à la DB9 (a car I've always thought the lights and front of the GP are heavily influenced by).
sounds interesting bud, saying that - i may look into bonnet indents (not to sure if there is a word for it) :)

Its been said many times before but "its your car so do whatever you think looks good" personally though I think bonnet vents look daft...unless of course you are running big power and they serve a purpose.
