Tuning focus induction v gsr induction the result

some say,
the focus is better,
and that the GSR is to exspensive,
but all i know is that the GSR is the best!

trying to get a topgear some say the stig theme going
i dont think people thought it was better but everyone was sayin, u will loose bhp, but untill it has been done on a standard car before and after, this is still not a fact

The fact is, this was a like-for-like comparison, but on a car that was not standard. Who in their right mind is going to go to the trouble of induction without dealing with the lossy exhaust system? This test is actually more realistic to most people's needs.

GSR FTW! All i have to say on the mater now is my 8v has that bit more POWAAAAAAAAA! Becuase its been GSR'd

Come on!

and cos your wallet weighs so much less!

still want so see full series with stock filter

:yeahthat:

Cheap ass.

You driving a punto too son? Pot calling kettle if you ask me.

For your information I'm even cheaper than that, my air filter cost £5.

If we're all allowed to throw personal attacks, let me fire one back at you and say I think you've got to be a complete spastic putting induction on a toy car, and an even bigger one for throwing wads of cash on designer cardboard.

But I am curious about the results.

i see no personal attack from chris, just light hearted banter, he has a coop and a punto

not all punto's are are 1.1 8v

What's the point giving you results. You wouldn't even know what to do with them. Your keyboard crunching doesn't represent any facts.

You are talking not even max power theory.

Comparissons exist on standard to GSR. And this is not just a single run. Unlike you I don't do number crunching and spend the time testing on the rollers, inclines, drag strip and track times.

A 0-60mph improvement of 1.3 seconds over standard clearly indicates an improvement, which the Focus induction doesn't show hoovering all the heat under real operating conditions.

If you want to contribute to threads then do it in a professional manner and not just on assumptions that are based on wild imagination.

Should get your facts right before making personal attacks . Can you not see the big red Coupe in my Signature? Would be interesting to see what YOU drive and what tuning you have done. GSR kits work plain and simple if you don't think they do put up and shut up and perhaps get a new hobby because you plainly know nothing about tuning just refurbing "toy cars" gearboxes .

This has been said before and i think it needs saying again

1. If you cant afford anything drill holes in the airbox to get better sound
2. If you just want noise then get cheap pipercross/K&N but loose power
3. Get focus for slight increase and better sound
4. If you can afford it get the GSR.

This is my and other peoples opinion.
I have the pipercross becuase I like the look of it, has the connection for the breather and I got it off ebay cheap. I wish i had the money for a GSR though.
