General flip up dvd headunit

does any one have a 6.5 screen flip up dvd head unit in there car i want one but dont no if it would fit becuase of the heaters in the centre dash any one got any ideas or comments thanks luke

well thats up to you on both counts.you need to block the vent,mount the cage securley in the vent aperture.

ive not seen it in a sei/cinq but this us a well covered mod.really doesnt change from car to car. get googleing

Its just like a flip up dvd headunit thing lol, but the screen comes out and then goes down, ive only seen 2 and that where in sextons. Ill have a look for some links for ya, i just had a quick look but can’t see anything.

There was a guy on here that done it in a Cinq, can't remember his name though.

I was going to do it too but removed the vents and it looks like you'd need to heavily butcher it for space but thats just my opinion.

i have seen a screen that comes out and you can set the distance away from the dash that it sits so if you could find one of these then you could just set it to come out to past the heaters.

have a look at the pics 3rd on the left is a pic of the inside and he has one, i think the screen will just clear the front of the heater vents :yeahthat: you could email him and ask the make and model...also i think he needs a slap for ruining the classic look of a cinq! I hope it isn’t anybody’s on here?

ive got a standalone screen molded into the space where the glove box should be in a cinq, look at flip screens but............, butchering the dash is an option but stand alone with a hu dvd player seemed so much more fun
