hey guys, right havent used the bitch for 3weeks,then i went to collect my takeaway tonight and it sounded like a whoopee cushion, no power with foot down,just farting along, then like a xmas tree light mr injector came on to flash his red end at me, now done massive search through the site, plugs, leads fuel filter bla bla bla, but whats changed since october 24th when it drove like new??? its just cost me 250 for 2 oem zorsts (1 i hasten to add was "brand new from a supplier on ebay" costing 80 quid), ****e and for sale first tenner plus p+p, and kwik fit one fitted with my mates staff discount 170 and waiting for mr RAT20V's back box tobe glued on so will have anew 1.6 back box for sale too. now usually wouldnt mind,but its xmas and am skint,was hoping something like a kick would fix it. seriously though,would just letting ot run for a while make a difference??? just had a dianostic done a few weeks ago when lamda sensor went, sick as chips
 
does it stutter or judder at all? if so thats probably fouled sparks or leads. It 'could' be an injector, but i cant say for certain because i've never (touch wood) had injector problems.
 
Could try the re-test unplug the earth lead for 30-45 minutes then reconect .Car will be back to factory test, drive econically for 300 miles not all at once until car relearns certain patterns etc and hopefully light will go out,?
If not all sensors ie thermostat is big cause of this plus cheaper fix ? could check all sensor wiring incl lambada .

 
it did stutter more prevalently prior to lamda replacement, now when i touch the metal, it hesitates then sounds like a scooby, thats when the light comes on and it starts to fart, soits obviously misfiring, will check plugs and leads tomorrow, can anyone recommend nice plugs??? and can i upgrade the leads??? good excuse to modify slightly
 
right then,just noticed mr injector isn't on all the time, if i sit at thirty at 3k rpms, there is no light then when i accelerate hard it comes on until i decelerate, reckon i need it plugging in again, will try the reset 2moro after letting it idle for a while but i'm not looking forward to it, 3-500 miles is a long time for me to grandad it, shucks, any recs for plugs and leads, splitfire maybe????

Ok,when checking my plugs and leads,cylinder 4's ht lead sent a pulsing shock through my w**king arm throwing it back with some force (engine running), so i gathered the leads were the problem, but for good measure ordered some bosch super4 plugs too(views appreciated),
Point of post: from your(s) expertise/experience/knowledge bla bla, are these syptoms likely to be only problems, ie causing the car to sound like a scooby mated to a sherman, misfiring like a blind clint eastwood on acid lol, any help is appreciated cos i'm at my wits end, contemplating scrapping the hlx and gaining a hgt. cheers fella's and fellesse's
 
right replaced the leads today, still misfiring. so checked each cylinders/leads seperately, with the first three the engine nearly stalled, but the last one nearest the coil made no change to the engines running or sound and there were many a spark evident whilst it was off. ordered plugs, they sent wrong ones, can plugs cause this??? or is it likely to be an injector, tried the reset thing with the battery leads disconnected to no avail, have been told that that is a waste of time since, has anyone an injector going spare??
