Morning Guys

Bought a 1.2 2000 X Reg yesterday. But have a problem with the clock and milometer flashing! Any ideas why this is and how to stop it?!

Any Help Appreciated!

Cheers

Spence

hi! welcome to the forum
the speedo unit has probably been changed, it'll need to go to a dealer to be realigned, some charge as much as £63
make a note of the milage before its reset as the clocks could have been changed for a lower milage model
if you bought it from a dealer take it back and get them to sort it, if the milage is wrong by more than a few hundred miles yuo can get your money back or some of it if you keep the car as it was miss sold

Thank You!

Ah, well the engine has been changed, due to the old one being run without any oil! Silly People.

Is it a still a case of being realigned? Or would it be a different matter?

Cheers

yep needs a proxy alighnment this could simply be because the battery has been of the car for a considerable amount of time during the engine swap not nessesarily a swapped dash the capasitors in the body computer and dash will only hold the can network clocks for so long
