Very odd one.

My seicentos battery light is flickering on and off. But when the heater is on full blast it does come on at all. There is no loss in performance and no other errors are coming on. Could this be a bad connection. Bad earth cable connection maybe?

On my Cinq 20 days ago I had flickering batt light at idle, when driving was going off, after a couple of days it was on at idle and flickering when driving. The health indicator on the batt was black (recharge or replace).Tested all these with various load on the electrical systems and a polymeter, after an afternoon the diagnosis was alternator failing.Local scrapyard trip and all ok now.
Check out well before doing anything.

Could be worn alternator brushes. Have a look at te alternator to see what make and model it is. Many allow you to change the brushes (brush pack, sometimes includes the regulator) without stripping the alternator. On some cars you can do it with alternator in place.
Brushes are cheaper than even a used alternator.
