Hi Everyone,
At the moment my car seems to be holding together over the winter period!! So I have decieded to turn my attentions to less unimportant things. Thought it would be great idea to have rev counter like on the sporting version of the sei. I had already discovered that the plug used for the rev counter was already in place which is what gave me the confiedence to buy one from a local scrapyard.
Now comes the problem bit I plug it in and it doesnt work!! There is power to the instrument as it lights up when the other dash lights are turned on but doesnt measure any revs.
I know this is a pretty unique problem dont think anyone else has tried this, but does anyone know if there is a difference at the ecu end where the rev signal comes from between the different models of the sei? Or is it that the rev counter is knackered as it has come off a scrap car?
Any help or advice would be great. My first little mod project on my sei and problems already!!!
