fitting genuine abarth front bumper to mk1 hg

Mate i know how life works, but you just don't get how a club works, its a community, and i seem to remember you asking for the side skirts and rear bumper and you were going to leave the front bumper because you wasn't sure of how it was going to fit but i was willing to make it fit!

Cal isn't stupid, he is a nice guy and he was offering the stuff for free to genuine bravo/brava/marea enthusiasts, but what you did was just wrong.

So what if you got a lift, was it a wasted journey? nope because you got the skirts and back bumper and probably a few more bits. and you took the front bumper off your car because you was trying something you got for free.

Also last year i gave away aload of spares to a marea enthusiast, he hasn't sold any and he drove from leicester to essex to collect, infact if any one wants anything he just sends it too em, like i said before this is a club and you just don't get it! and there is no point me going over old ground again.

Yep I didn't think it would cause this much hassel

Sorry again

im really interested and will buy it off you on friday when i get paid... as i just cracked my bumper :( the only thing is i would need it posted to me... so could you find out how much it would be to post to my area... i live near norwich in norfolk, cheers :)

well if you donate as you say and this is confirmed by the mods when that is at least something by no means total satisfaction i think you should just take out your fuel costs and donate the rest. but thats just my opinion like many others.
i have travelled miles to get bits from other members at very reasonable cost or even nothing and i have a whole load of spare parts laying around some that fit my marea and i have some bravo parts also that dont fit but i havent sold them to make a profit if i sell them i will only want my money back that i layed out to get them.
thats how this club works and it keeps the cars alive as well as this club

who says its gona go for £75? as soon as someone puts a bid in,that BIN goes away,so he may only get 99p :) so half that to the club..50p :) jobs a good un lol

sorry just for id say lol

tbh i would quite like to buy it, and as a gesture because of the controversy with this being sold... if im the successful winner of the item then i'll become a paid up member :)

sorry to stick my nose in, but had to quote an earlier post:

"You don't seem to know how life works, you don't get nothin
In this world for free... An if someones rich/stupid enough
To give things away then so be it..!"

I dont mean to speak out of place or anything, but from the sounds of this, the lad did GET SOMETHING FOR FREE, and the lad who gave it away doesn't seem like he's STUPID for wanting to help someone else make their bravo that little bit better.

Seems like a top lad for wanting to help a fellow owner (whoever it was) by giving it away. This club could do with more members like him!!!!!!

I've had something similar happen to me. Sold a mobile to a friend because I thought he wanted it for himself, naturally giving him a very good price. He ended up selling it on ebay a week later for a massive mark up. I could have done that but was doing him a favour. Needless to say we fell out.

I think the point is, whilst there is technically nothing wrong with selling something for a profit, when its given to you in good spirit the expectation is you honour that.

I was given a Marea centre console by a fellow BOO member a couple of years back for my Bravo. I never fitted it, but gave it away when I got round to parting with it.

Different people are bound to approach it differently, that I appreciate and as a mod I can see both sides of the story here.

Rather than extend the bad feeling here with the profit, I'll lock the thread. You have your ebay auction running anyhow, people know the score behind it so if they want to buy something free, thats their choice. If you do honour your statement of a donation, then thats generous of you and duly noted.

I'm sure Wimmy will look forward to receiving your membership details in due course :)
