I was thinking more of the labels on Dairy Milk, made on production lines which also handle nuts. :p

I agree that it seems a bit mindless to include a "contains peanuts" warning on bags of peanuts, but if they left the warning off then they would have to set a threshold somewhere between the obvious and the obscure. (What if Jade Goody's children have dietary allergies ? Obvious ingredients suddenly become obscure if Jade is doing the shopping ;) )
And bear in mind that some products don't include the ingredients in their name (e.g. barbecue beef flavour crisps or roast chicken flavour crisps, which contain no meat).

My daughter made us laugh when she was first diagnosed (aged 7 or 8) and she asked if she was allowed doughnuts :D (which she pronounced as "dodgy nuts").
