Hello, Been here since 2020 but never posted ! Had a Ducato 2.3 (Burstner Ixeo) just bought a 2025 Ducato 2.2 Auto (Sunlight Adventure 601) LHD as we live in France.
The Sunlight camper is basic compared to the Burstner but far more flexible / adaptable in functionality.
Let's hope this new auto gives me less hassle than the old comfortmatic box !
Regards to all.

Hi there, we are new here too.
Hope you are enjoying your new Moho especially the transmission, we almost got talked into the comformatic but then did a little research. Just love the 9speed, like you always mindful of reliability but have the peace of mind of extended warranty.
Did yours need the software update? I only found out when I spoke to Fiat.
All the best Rick.

Hi Rick,
I'm not aware of a software update for the new camper but thanks for the heads up, I'll look into it.
The comfortmatic on our previous Burstner gave me some head scratching times but thankfully I narrowed things down to the gearbox earth strap of all things.
Three different main dealers quoted £4 - 4.5 K to replace the actuator (the only thing that fixes the issue so they said !
Hrs with a multimeter, diagnostic SW and various intermittent issues, one being onboard the euro tunnel unable to switch the engine off even with the key switched off and removed ! (pulled the fuel pump relay in the end) ultimately I narrowed things down to low voltage circuits being starved watts. (Impedance checks)
So a £25 earth strap fixed the problem, took me 20 mins to replace.
I wonder how many people paid the £4K + to have it rectified by the fact that the repairs require the earth strap be removed/ replaced as part of the Actuator replacement thus getting a decent connection again.
Bought the camper new a couple of weeks ago only driven it home so far, been fettling with it since then, heading back to the uk in it this weekend for its inaugural trip.
Thanks for your reply .
Kind regards John

Hi John, you’ll have lots of adventures to look forward to.
So glad you were able to trouble shoot the problem and rectify the issue yourself on the comformatic and it didn’t invlolve the hydraulics, It must have been stressful on the Eurostar !
With all the reliance on tech these days often it can be the most fundamental of things that have an impact on operation and most people sadly don’t check the basics first putting their trust in the dealer, let alone employ preventative maintenance . It doesn’t help when you don’t get a physical handbook these days even for the simplest of things like knowing which fuse does what.
Yours may well not need the update but worth checking. We had no issues and didn’t notice any difference when it was done.
Did you take out the extended warranty?
I took the view that with the added technicality of the 9 speed box and emissions controls etc, it was money well spent for the piece of mind.
Although we weren’t aware that you only had limited time to purchase it!
Luckily a well respected dealership in Portsmouth were very helpful and also it was only them that informed us about the software update, too, even though I’d been in contact with other appointed dealers.
Do you have the electronic dipstick arrangement? Not sure who thought that is a good idea but I think they may have gone back to the old school method now. At least they don’t use a wet belt!
Wishing you many exciting trips and look forward to comparing notes.
All the best Rick.
