For the past few times I have filled my car up some fuel leaks. It smells and it ruins my amazing insulation tape Italian Flag design on the cover!!

The first time it did this was when it was really hot and it was leaking out of it pretty fast, so much we had to collect it to stop it leaking all over the drive. But then I opened the cap and it stoped. But why will it do this? And have the seals on it worn?

Its a well documented problem with Cinqs, the rubber "O"ring on the filler cap perishes over time allowing fuel to leak past it.

I bought a new fuel cap from Fiat for about £5, all I had to do was remove my lock form old cap and it clicks into place in new one.

I did post up the part number for this (must be a few years ago now) as a few members found that going to there local Fiat dealers they did not find the cheap replacement cap and were wanting to charge a silly amount for a cap.
