Ok I am new on this forum and hope any purists dont shoot me down in flames but does anyone know if there is a classic Fiat 500 fibreglass body mould within the UK ?

If the answers proove to be NO it will decide my next plan of action of taking a mould from an existing LHD shell that is coming to me soon

Hope the above isnt offensive as i love these little cars and am planning to do a race version with a space frame chassis.

Go for it Jo!---I don't know of anybody who has tried it before, but there always has to a first. What sort of engine/gearbox are you thinking of fitting? are you going to race in with 'classic' cars? I don't know whereabouts you are in Oxfordshire, but you can't be very far from Middle Barton Garage. If you decide to go for wish-bone front suspension and rack-and-pinion steering I can put you in contact with somebody in the UK who has had his parts custom made---if you are going for a 695 engine, I can give you the details of a company (in Aus. sadly) who supplies complete crank/rod/piston assemblies (fully balanced) for 1 of the top Italian 'Fiat 500/700cc engines.

Thanks Hobbler for yor supportive words. In deed i will deinately be making one (prehaps more) I have plenty of experience in making my own single seater hillclimb cars and a vast network of relevant services. My own business is racecar fabrication that includes chassis/suspension work,
It will be a bike eng and probably a jap unit for now although i would really love an Italian unit to compliment the theme. I know of Middle Barton Garage and occaionaly did race fabrication for them in a previous employment.
