Technical fiat stilo gearbox

i have blown the gearbox up on my stilo and cant get 1 anywhere i would like to know if there are any fiat boxes compatible with my stilo its a 1.6 16v 5 speed xbox model 05 plate

Nope, you will have to find a Stilo one, its to do with the mounting points onto the chassis, also a 5 door one wont fit a 3 door car properly because of the chassis points. I got one for my old car off a scrap dealer for £150

Hi, i've just had the same problem with my car, I need to replace the gearbox aswell, does anyone know if I can put any 3 dr Stilo gearbox onto my 1.4 (6 speed) i.e. a selespeed or 5 speed?

You also need to get a gearbox for exactly your engine. a 1.6 needs a box from a 1.6 etc. A box from a 1.4 may well fit a 1.6, but the gear ratios will be different.
