Fiat Stilo Abarth

I recently bought a 2005 Fiat Stilo Abarth which does not start. When you push the start button, nothing happens except for the loud clicking sound coming from the steering cover. The local and prefered " Fiat Service Branch" would not help as they say the car was bought on Auction.
Can anyone help?

If you don't want to look at it yourself, find any decent auto electrician.

If you do want to DIY, please ask in the Stilo section.
