hi

i have a scudo with the following faults on lexia, please could i have some input/ idea of what you think the problems could be

i also have faults with the central locking not working and the multifunction display which resets language back to factory and clock flashing 0:00 (which should just be that the permanent 12volts is missing)

so far i've done this before i got lexia (just used a basic scanner)
tried getting egr valve off but someone rounded one of the bolt heads:bang:
changed fuel filter and air filter

before i forget, the turbo was broken when i got it and the oil return hose was missing, oil feed was blocked in the turbo, luckily as i drove 70miles back home:eek:

i fitted new turbo and oil return hose, check oil flow from oil feed which was ok, run engine, took it for a spin with no change to power ( not got round to doing oil change or fitting new oil pickup yet)


result of faults were done with engine running at idle

P0118 : coolant temperature signal

i just looked at another lexia report that i did a few days before the other and i got 10 faults again but the p0087 is missing (which i may of sorted but have not tested since.....one of the fuel connectors was not on fully on the fuel filter....engine was turning but not starting had to prime it before it would start) and i had p0691 : fan high speed control on the older report

maybe i will do another check tomorrow
 
hi all

another update

i finally found out why the central locking was not working and why the multifunction display reset back to factory.........the shunt fuse was in parking and not client.

today i had mot and got them to clear the fault codes ( as lexia would not clear them), when i got home i tested with simple scanner and now i just have p0299

turbo should be good as its only a few months old and ive not drove it much since fitting

any ideas of where and what i should be looking at would be much appreciated

hi

i found out why i had p0299...waste gate was open all the time... this was down to vacuum line from waste gate to vacuum control valve being blocked, original hose must of broke at some point and someone fitting a fuel hose to it and over tightened the jubilee clip and crushed the original plastic pipe causing blockage!!!


location of the vacuum control valve is rear left bottom of engine ( has two pipes connected, one from vacuum pump and one to waste gate), remove drivers side front wheel to access it

maybe this will help someone else, who knows :)
