Technical Fiat panda Gearbox problem

Hello everyone, I'm stuck with my automatic gearbox for fiat panda 2006. Its failing to change gears and I decided to order another one from Japan after replacing it with old one, its refusing to engage or change gears. Anyone with idea what I should do with this problem? Evans from Zambia

Am I reading this right

Original gearbox fail to select gears

Replacement gearbox the same

Or are the subtlety different
