It seems there is no other free online fiat magazine, closest thing i have found is:

http://www.fiatmagazine.co.uk/

which has come from this site :yuck::yuck::yuck: very much dedicated to the old Fiats

hey they are ok, probably all old fiats because all its member are old, i went to one of their meets and i was one of the young ones :) check out the past events section, you will see a few ff dudes there.
xFiat not a good name, people might think its all about x1/9
efiat sounds good, or binkis fiat mag, can borrow bink for the logo then :p

tbh it wasn't the content i was ":yuck::yuck::yuck:"ing, it was the website... it's a bit... oldschool :p

could only think of one name
The Fiat And Furious but then decided it was ****e
Going back to the girls issue, maybe not having topless models etc but what about a section where each issue we have say 2/3 members profiles. eg

name
forum name
dob
current car
dream car
first car
etc just some bio info on some members

wouldnt mind writing something, would love to give it a try, however they might be crap as never done owt like it before plus depending on how many issues we have etc with having time to fix my cinq and do school work and do the sexy female students :p

just thinking would we need permission from fiat for this?
also another name i got is

perfezione italiana-italian for "italian perfection"

i maybe able to spare some space on my hosting until we can get the hosting sorted for it. would be able to set up an ftp account for some people to use.

hmm yeh fiatzine witht he big Z sound scool :p

Sounds good for that hosting, although I can get it pretty cheap with a domain name with it in .com or .co.uk so I would be willing to get that up with FTP access too before we get things started just to "park" the domain ready. As long as I'd get the money back before I die of course :p

ok cool, i can offer it to get it started to test and ****, cus if we get so far and then realise we aint gonna do it then we have a domain and hosting being paid for but not used  , wud kinda suck. but what ever :D

No defo go with Herps, for now if thats ok, we can buy a domain name for like £4.99 for 2 years.. and have it link to the hosting, and if it gets to the point ,where our space is running out, or our bandwidth is getting to much to handle then we can invest in a hosting plan, keep it as simple and as cheap as possible to start with.

i like the member profiles idea, i'd still like to keep a definate link with the forum, firstly for advertising, and secondly as we are going to get traffic from the forum, it'd be nice to return the favor.:)

I feel like i've highjacked this thread, sorry if it seems i'm taking over a bit, i'm just really enthusiastic about getting this up and running.:)

also bare in mind that if this does kick off, we can have people advertising on our site, and with the money we can spend that on our own advertising/even going to print? ok maybe thats not viable but it's still a nice thought.

my thinking is, we've got nothing to lose apart from some hours of our time.:)

how about you have sections on:-
New cars - reviews, information, pics and such?
old School - reviews, information, pics and such?
ICE - HU, subs speakers, carputers, reviews and so on?
Guides (modding fixing and such)?
readers questions?
Events - reviews, information, dates
Readers rides (or soemthing liek that)
girls (maybe) ?
fiat information - history, news and such

can do alsorts, all you gotta do is decide on the name, a way of setting the site out, staff and such then it can all go ahead

J

Sounds good. what about a "staff cars" section like in the classic car mags. Every month we write about new mods, discoveries etc to our "fleet" every car mag does them and i like reading them.

Girls? I wouldn't want this to be another max power clone, but we could always interview some female members (jjpheonix).

I can do i guide about fitting performance brakes and fitting a carbon bonnet (2 jobs i will be doing very soon).

Iv always wanted to work for a mag, i think this is a great idea and would be willing to help in anyway shape or form possible!!! If its going to features cars then i think that people should be based in a certain area, like if i was to get involved I live near blackpool/preston so could do lancashire or something like that, or have small groups of 3/4 people to each region of the UK! that way the people can go to the featured car and petrol expensenses are cut down, and people arent having to travel for example from london to Glasgow, then back down to brighton just to get two features, you can just send out someone whos id local to that area!! Unless you just get pictures sent in by the owner but then there is issues with quality and such!!!

cheers jack

I could protect the documents if they are to be released online and proof read it etc. I'd put it into a PDF Format and do all sorts of things with graphics layout etc.. Do alot of that in my day to day job! :D

I could also market the magazine and find organisations that could advertise on the Mag's site which will ofcourse provide an income.

Need some examples of work? :)

P.S - I could cover the Glasgow area (Glasgow Area Correspondant!)
