You can check the car specifications for the gear ratios, but I doubt they are that far out. Biggest issue might be a speedo error depending were the drive is taken from if the diff ratio is different.

Apologies for dragging this out of the cupboard, my dad's after a Croma 'box, a fiat/abarth man down the road told me its probably a GM one which we've all decided on here, has anyone swapped one in and was it an F40 or an M32?

Sorry, details were scant, its a 55 plate 1.9d 6 speed manual. Think its an M32 from advertised rebuild kits

Hi,
The 6 speed is the M32. Same 'box as Vectra but ratios may be different. What's wrong with existing 'box ? Have you considered a repair by one of the specialists? it's a fixed price, drop off and go shopping for the day or what ever and it's done. It's a fair bit of work to get the box out of the Croma if you don't have access to a workshop. If you are keeping the car consider fittng a pair of used Vectra C driveshafts at the same time. The Fiat drive shafts have a reliability issue.
