General question.
What is the oem fuel regulator set pressure ?3.5bg was in mine reduced to 3bg 22hp gain better mpg.

Have you had the fueling checked with a wide band?

Wouldn't be good if she was running too lean.

My guess is the mixture has been leaned out so using less fuel and making more power, but much greater risk of the car detting ie blowing pistons.

That sounds waaaay to risky.
Just go get a remap... more power and better economy, far better solution.

As the system will mostly run closed loop it will attempt to compensate for any under fuelling. Can't see the logic of this tbh surely reduced pressure will be detrimental to atomisation of fuel and consequently combustion?

Sorry been working, have wideband now in car but checked by tuner on rr, my idle afr was 12.9. Rich.
On boost 1.4bg afr 10.5- 11. UN mapped.
Reduced to 3bg. Idle 14.9 on town cruise 15.3 which is irrelevant as no boost on boost 12.4.

No issues of pre det, As also running water meth injection. This was off and not applicable on these figures also.
Had tmc tuning box on in it added 4hp. Getting it mapped once new turbo arrives.

I was just intrigued to now why 3.5bg regulator fitted.

No issues or concerns of engine damage as the afrs are now where I'd expect to see them. Maybe fiat fiat as engine failsafe for running low octane fuel, I only run v power
