hi can you help me i hava a 2001 import camper 2.8 jtd mk 2 .has it got a engine immobiliser as standerd

Generally vans are not fitted with immobilisers as standard it's an option that the dealer can charge you lots of money for because your insurance company might well want you to have one on a motorcaravan. Surely you know if you've got one or not though?

vans do have immobilisers,think of the stock/tools/equipment in the cargo space that would be lost by 'hot-wiring' the ignition.

Your camper should have one,you can tell by the key or the aerial fitted around ignition key barrel (you need to remove lower cover to see this).

You're right of course but I should have been a bit more specific. Recent vans have immobilisers fitted but I'm not sure the Mk 2 Ducatos did before the facelifted version in 2003.
