Is there such a thing as this ? Said to be 1970 500L and just seen an advert on Facebook.
I was just having a chat with a guy last week about the number of 500s that were totally “restored” & up for sale and to be imported from Italy.
I said that I could not help thinking that there were guys out there throwing these cars together with whatever bits they have, painting it etc then it’s up for sale.
This one is on €10,500 and powder blue. Has 54 photos which make interesting viewing, a bit like Spot the Difference (between this and a real car) or Where’s the Wally (who is going to buy this)

There never was a Transformable other than the N produced by the factory...
The D's that are about were probably converted by dealers using N parts...

You could not simply chop off an N/D roof and weld it onto a later car as there are so many profile differences... it would be a lot of work...
It would however be much easer to simply cut out the section of a later roof and add a lip and fit a transformable sun roof.. (that makes it sound much simpler than it would be)

I saw an F converted ages ago but lost the pics and the link...
to do it properly involves a lot of work due to the double skinned nature of the rear pillars...

There were some fully convertible specials produced but not by Fiat themselves...
