Hi guys I've got a 1960 series 3 N model, so it's not the full convertible. I'm thinking of buying a soft top and replacing the hard top but there is a bar that sits across that the roof holds on too. If I remove that bar would it affect the chassis or the structure of the actual car? Has anyone else done this before? Thanks.

Hi, as far as I am aware it will cause you no problem. This is the same situation with my D model and countless others like it which have had the hard roof unbolted and replaced with a convertible top. Just make sure you order the right length soft top roof. The one made for the original convertible N is a very small amount different to that needed for a D that is having its roof removed. I can't recall if it is a little bit longer or shorter, and i am not sure which you will need for an N model having its roof removed, but it is easy enough to measure.
Cheers Roger
